About the event
Instructor: Richard Tetrault
This course introduces participants to the process of color jigsaw woodprint. Jigsaw printing is an exciting process that involves first, designing and cutting a key block. This image is transferred to a second block, which will become the color block. This second block is then cut into several sections (using a power jigsaw). These sections are inked separately, rejoined and run through the press. To complete the print, the key block is registered and printed overtop. An edition of three, 3-colour prints will be produced by each participant. Please bring a sketch or two along as source material for your print. Simpler concepts often work best.
